Research and Scholarships Funded by Brussels": Understanding the Viewpoints of Applicants, Evaluators and the European Commissio
Dr. Werner Klotzbücher is group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Bioinorganic Chemistry, supervising a laboratory for low temperature chemistry and covering a number of administrative tasks as assistant to the directors. He is one of the dozen European Liaison Officers of the Max Planck Society, until 2007 Speaker of the Advisory Committee.
In FP6 roughly 10 % of the applications were successful, but over 40 % of those involving the Max Planck Society. In his seminar Dr. Klotzbücher will initially explain the points to gain an advantage, cover the reasons why so many good applications failed and offer advise on improving the situation under the FP7 funding program of the European
Commission. However, this is an open-ended seminar and not a lecture - questions and discussion are expected and appreciated.
